1997 – KaeL Direct launched by Karl Lady. Joined by his son Kip and business partner Ron Eger working out of Karl’s basement. First clients were AT&T, Chevy Chase Bank and Direct Response Consulting Services.
1998 – KaeL Direct opened Atlanta office. Add Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club as clients.
1999 – Karl’s second son Todd joined company. Employees now totaled 7.
2000 – KaeL transitioned from printing company to a production management company focused on direct mail. Moved to office space in Alexandria, VA. Began working with Covenant House.
2001 – Began working with Telecom giant MCI.
2002 – Recognized by Print Solutions Magazine as fastest growing company in our industry.
2003 – Printed and mailed 100 million pieces of mail for MCI with the launch of their Neighborhood Campaign. Grew to 16 employees and was once again recognized as fastest growing company in our industry.
2004 – Won printing of Wal-Mart Wedding registry catalog. Won print management business for Bank One.
2005 – Began working with local PR software company Vocus to generate leads through direct marketing.
2006 – Integrated New Media to become a DM multichannel solutions provider.
2007 – With the advent of digital printing, began to launch highly personalized one-to-one marketing campaigns. Began working with Network for Good to print and fulfill their “Good Card” Program.
2008 – Joined forces with Bethesda, MD data and creative agency Convergence Direct Marketing.
