Kip Lady
Kip Lady attended Ithaca College and graduated with a degree in Political Science. After graduation he was the first intern for freshman Congressman Bob Ehrlich. His internship led to a full time position on the Government Reform and Oversight Committee for the US House of Representatives. During his tenure the committee was involved in many high profile investigations and hearings such as Whitewater, Waco, and Travelgate.
In 1997 Kip left the Hill for the private sector to work for McGregor Printing and Mailing, a nationwide forms and direct mail company based in Washington, DC. At McGregor he spent a year working at their Westminster, MD plant in a training program, where he rotated through all facets of the business. In 1998, Kip and his father, Karl Lady, embraced the entrepreneurial spirit and left McGregor to start KaeL Direct. Over the course of a few years the company blossomed to 15 employees and 18 million in sales and were honored as the fastest growing company in the country by their industry trade association. Kip currently handles new business development for KaeL Direct and works out of their Alexandria, VA location.
Kip holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and in his spare time enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, painting, traveling and gastronomic indulgences. He is currently the Membership Chair of the Next Generation Leaders, a group of young professionals that work with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and volunteers with the Direct Marketing Association of Washington (he is currently planning their Annual Golf Tournament). He supports Golden Retriever Rescue, Education, and Training as well as various Artistic Institutions and political causes. He lives in Arlington, VA with his wife Heather, daughter Reagan and dog Maisy.
